Big Girl Foods

We are approaching the 10 month mark, this Friday. Making baby food is "almost" a thing of the past {which makes me a little sad, just how quickly it passed by us}. Modifying our foods to make "big girl food" is now the method of Miss L's diet.

At our 9-month appointment, we were cleared to eat anything, with the exception of honey.
Yes, even peanut butter and eggs {whites and yolks}!! However, we are going to be patient with the introduction of peanut butter, eggs and strawberries...probably until after the year mark.

Some of Miss L's favorite finger foods include:
Her special plate, made by her grandma
  • Avocados
  • Banana
  • Bread - like sourdough, pita, or ciabatta
  • Grilled Cheese - I cut into small pieces...she usually eats 1/2 sandwich per meal
  • Pasta noodles - some days...depends on her mood
  • Pumpkin pancakes - of course, I make them for mommy and she just gets to have extras
  • Finely chopped chicken
Some foods on my current grocery list, specifically for Miss L include:
  • mandarain oranges, canned
  • watermelon
  • peaches, canned {for her mesh freezer pop}
  • grapes {to cut up small}
Here we are at the park tonight...we met up with our playmates from our
ECFE class...it's neat to see how much they have grown in a couple months
